Demeter fragrances are typically either great or horrible, and this one falls into the latter category. Not even in the same ball park as chocolate, cake, or buttercream icing. It smells like overheated electronic wires, melting plastic, something reminiscent of frozen tv dinners, and a stinky attempt at honey florals. Truly bizarre and a real scrubber. Especially because you cannot return this item, I cannot it recommend at all!

Maybe a little like playdough if it were made of vanilla-fondant in a popsicle-Universe. I really like the dry-down (is that what it's called?) also. Also the bottle came fast, and I have had a bunch of compliments! Thank you!!!!

Smells impressive, but my only complaint is that it doesn't last very long. Seems to wear off quickly. If it didn't, I'd give 5 stars.

This didn't smell anything like birthday cake. It smells more like a chocolate scratch and sniff sticker.

This smells like a chocolate birthday cake with white frosting on which those little wax candles have just been blown out. I received this on my birthday, and it was my favorite gift. I like it so much that I used it up and had to buy more! It's a wonderful and unique birthday gift or a great treat to get for yourself. The only Demeter cologne I like more is their Vanilla Cake Batter (it's divine).

I bought this for my girlfriend because she said she wanted birthday cake perfume/body spray. I think she was anticipating something more like vanilla sugar or maybe she just smelled a different manufacturers birthday cake perfume. She didn't like it, I don't like it, the dog and the cat hate it. It almost has a musty scent to it, and musty is not what you really want in a woman's perfume. I think it's bath and body works that makes a warm vanilla sugar that smells really nice and it's too pungent. If you want something that smells like cake or cookies, I wouldn't recommend this.
